As his accukers speaky Grimm's story comes to life. He had returned to his post of school teacher in Litzbg.rk after the termination of the first world war. Foreed to fl.ee after attacking a pupil, he goes to the Mqnich home of his brother, Karl (Erik Rolf ) , and is disgusted to find Karl a Socialist, happy with his family, in spite of conditions in Germany. Wilhelm immediately follows the new leader, Adolph Hitler,' and becomes a fanatiG worker for the Nazis. Six years pass, and victorious Nazi troops pour into Litzbark, with Wilhelm Grimm the commanding general. The Germans plunder the yillage leaving the villagers a bare lexistence. The trial ends. The judge charges the jury, telling them the grave responsibility of judging Grimm and other war criminals will be theirs. There is an excellent supporting programme.
