STATEMENT BY NEW ZEALAND MANAGER
WELLINGTON, Aprii 2S. "The refrigerated cargo shipped at Wellington by the Rimutaka filled 250, (550 eubic feet, leaving 110,000 cubie feet of insulated spaee to be filled m Australia," stated Mr. P. W. Hpite, general manager of the New Zealand Shipping Oompany, when refernng to allegations by the crew of the Rimutaka. "The motor-car was temporarily stowed in a trunkway at Wellington for landing at Melbourne and reshipment in pernianent stowage after loading Australian refrigerated eargo." The Rimutaka 's present voyage was fixed by the Bvitish ilinistry of War transport and the only considpratvon taken into aceount in connectiou with her loading was the earlie-it possible delivery of a full cargo of foodstuffs in •London.
