Two years later, Girls' Flock House was opened. During the 13 yearj3 that the Flock House establishments were controllcd by tlie fund, nearly 1000 Fnglish boys and girls were bfought to New Zealand, trained at Flock House and settled on thc land. Mr. Newman was cliairman of thc trustees of the fund from its inception up to the time of his death. The funeral was' held yesterday at Turakina. ■
