CIVIC FAREWELL TO^BE TENDERED At a largely attended / publiP meeting, held in the Council Tlnam/ bers on Wednesday evening, it was decided to tender a civic farewell to the retiring postmaster (Mr. W. H:. Behrens) and Mrs. Behrens, and also to Sister Willis," the f ormer distriet nurse, who are shortly leaving the distriet. "t j •. •, To enable the public to assi'st towards a presentation to these well-known citizens, subscription lists have been opened. A number of helpers will have lists in-4the outlying districts, while towh- people may leave their donations. ;at the office of the town clerk or the "Chronicle" branch office, where lists are available.
