LOWRY BAY'S WIN

Lowry Bay broke his bad luck for the season by winning at Wairarapa last Monday. He defeated a small. but good field, and it looks as if the veteran . stayer is changing to sprints. He showed a good turn of speed iri' the Wellington Cup, but then faded out when the pace was applied. He has not had a win this season and it was a surprise to the racing public. It is doubtful whether ' he will concentrate on sprints, but if he does it will be interesting to see how he shapes.
