MR. ADAM GORDON
The death occurred in Levin recently of Mr. Adam Gordon, at the age of 80 years. The late Mr. Gordon was born at Thurso, fn ttie north of Scotland, in January, 1866, and was brought to New Zealand by his parents when about peventeen or eighteen years of age. The family settled in the Petone district, where his f ather farmed, commencing the first milk round in -the district. In 1903 Mr. Gordon married Miss Olive Taylor, and continued to reside jn Petone and Taita until 1912, when he moved to Waikanae, finally settling in Levin in 1919. Mr. Gqrdon was actively ' engaged in farming until a few years ago. The deceased gentlbman is surviyed by his Wffe and an adult family of eleyen, three sons and eight daughters. There are nineteen grandchildren and one great-grand-child.
