Some wounded police and rioters are in a grave con•lition altliough there have been no deaths. The revolt broke out and spread rajiidlv throughout the prison after sonie prisoners had attached their guards and disarmed theni. None of Ihe prisoners, 500 of whom are held on political eharges, has yet escaped. They are demanding freedom and have called on the leader of the Milan f'atholies, Cardinal Rchuster, to act as intennediary. This morning-, awaiting his rcply, tliey were quiet.
