It is confirmed in London that no troops will remain although the ■igreement provided that the end of April should he the deadline. The evacuation of Lehanon must he completed by June 30. The Associated Press Damascus correspondent reports that hundreds of thous.mds of cheering Syrians are celebrating the evacuation. British ancl French troops witnessed the "biggest parade of Arab military forces since the days of the Crusaders. Syrian army tinits and detachments of the armies of Egypt, Iraq, Lehanon, and SaucliArabia. participated in the review before President Quwatli. Spitfires from Iraq and Egyptian armies circled overhead. The withdrawal of the British and French marked the first time since the start of the Christian era that Syria has been free of foreign troops.
