CONSULTATrVE COMMITTEE WELLINGTON, April .17. i The Minister of Education (j\lr. I-J.fasonj anuouneed today that, following representations by the teachers' organisations, the Government had decided to set up a eonsultative comniitiee on teacliers' salaries, similar to the committee that reeently investigated salary scales for the public servants. The committee will inclu.de offieers of the Education Hepartment iandrepresentativ.es of all branclies of the State teaching servicos. An eduea tion board secretarv, who is also the Isecretary of a post-primary board, wiR i be a member. The comnirttee will begin its siti tings at Wellington 011 Ma.v 1.
