FARM LAND BALLOTS FOR EX-SERVICEMEN

WELLINGTON, April 17. Ballots for land which has been set aside in the Wellington land distriet for settlement of ex-servicemen, were held in Wellington • today. Seetions balloted for ineluded land suitable for dairy farming, sheep farming, mixed and general agricultural farming. Results: — Section 24, ldock 8 Hautapu S.D., Kawhatau Farm Settlement, 810 acres of sheep farming land 16 miles southeast of Taihape: C. S. Rutherfurd (Waitotara). There were 43 applieants ad mitted to this ballot.
Seetions 1 and: 2, block 4 Tiffin S.D., Morburn Farm Settlement, mixed dairying and agricultural land: .Section 1, 79 acres, ,R. Goley (Foxton); Section 2, 83 acres, D. T. Rowland -(Feilding). There were seven applieants. Seetions 387, 388, 389 and 390, blocit 1 and 2, Ikitara.S.B., Cherrington Farm Settlement adjacent Wanganui: Seetions 387 and 388, 134 acres, A. A. Holland (Ohakune); Seetions 389 and 390; 138 acres, D, G. ilingins (Feilding). There were 56 applieants. Section 2, block .11, Otahoua S.D., T'e Maipi Farm Settlement, 830 acres oi sheep and agricultural farming, 12 miles soutlieast of Masterton: W. V. Ivells (Waipukurau). There were 16 applieants. Section 4, block 3, Mt. Robinson S.I), Opiki F.ann Settlement, 80 acres of dairying land 13 miles from Palmerston North: F. P. Booth (Hawera), j Section 86, block 9, Mangaone S.Di, Rongokokako Farm Settlement, 73. I acres of dairy: ig land 4 miles from, ; Kketahuna: G. S. Ohapman (Okoia), j There were 74 applieants.
