COMMITTEE MEETING . \ A meeting of the committee of j the Otaki A.A. and C. Club was held ( last night, the president, Mr. Fred • Edwards, presiding. The main object of the meeting was to.con- 1 sider the question of sending competitors to a sports meeting to be held at Petone on Easter Monday and it was unanimously agreed uiat the following be asked to go: — Cyclists: M. Jones, E. Mathie and C. Bloomfield; runners: W. Hodges, G. McKinley and M. Merwood; lady runners: Misses Merwood, Webster and Johnson. Matter of transport was arranged, cars being available. Mr. S. Enoka was appointed manager. It was recognised that as the result of the trip it would be a boost for the Otaki Club, besides gaining competitprs from the Wellington district for the next sports to be held at Otaki. It was stated that as a result of the last sports meeting at Otaki a credit balance would result, despite the fact that the weather was most unfavourable. It was reported that the following have generously donated towards the club's funds: Mesdames Cahill, Royal, G. White and Richards, Father Hendren, Edhouse, McKay, McKinley, Hager, Fred Edwards, E. P. Edwards, E. Bartosh and Tooby. Accounts were passed for payment. It was decided that the next meeting be held on Wednesday, May 1, at 7.30 p.m. Points prize-winners wer.e stated to be: — Runners: W. Hodges 1, G. McKinley 2. Cyclists: C. Bloomfield 1, M. Jones 2. Junior runners: M. Merwood 1, and Hakaraia 2. Ladies: Miss Joyce Merwood 1, Miss Bartosh 2. It was agreed that orders be given to the above as prizes.
