CIVIC THEATRE
One of the season's strongest films will make its debut to-night only at the Civic Theatre when Warner Bros.' latest production, "Juke Girl" screens. In the starring roles are 'alluring Ann Sheridan, fresh from her triumph in "Kings Row" and dashing Ronald Reagan who has an impressive list of fine performances to his credit. "Juke Girl" is a film that really packs a wallop and there's no letdown in the suspense-ladem "plot. The story takes place in a little Florida town where itinerant fruit pickers work hard all day and their main source of entertainment is the local "juke point" where Ann Sheridan works as a hostess. Curtis Bernhardt directed the A. I. Bezzerides screen play. Kenneth Gamet adopted Theodore Pratt's story. Also screening "Close Quarters."
