Miss Winsome Harris, who has been the guest of Lavinia. Hayfield, i£ Kent Street, for the last ten days, has left with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. G. R. Harris, for Hastings. Tribute to the late Mr. Tanies R'ose was paid at a meeting of the management eommittee of the Horowhenua Rugby Uhion last eveniiag. The president (Mr. A. Gii~ l'espie) said tha-t the deceased gentleman ■ had taken an active interest througnout his lifetime in rugby football, serving as a referee and' then for a nuraber of years as 3) gatefeeeper. Saturday, the presi'derrt. (Dr.. S. ,J>. Thompson),, oh oehalf of,members, presented- a silver tea service to Miss E. Staples and Mr: G. H.
