WAIKATO MAORIS TO MEET PRIME MINISTER
■■■■ •-*-* ^ — — — . ... ;? '. '• WELLINGTON, April; 15. A ' visit of considerable! political signifieanee will be paid by Hon. P. Fraser on Saturday to Ngaruawahia. The Prirne Minister will be aceompanied by the Native Minister, Hon. H. G. R. Mason, and a rejiresentative of tlie Maori race ou ihe Exeeutive Coun.v cil, Mr. Tirikatene. The purpose bf the visit will be to diseuss Maori problems in general and the long standing claims of the Waikato tribes for compensation for lands conhscated after the wai* of 1803. It was also stated that the status of Iving Koroki will be discussed on Saturday with the Prime Minister. The meeting, which will be one of the largest for some time, will also inchule representatives of South Auckland, Taranaki and Iving Country tribes.
