JAMAICA HAS ISLAND-WIDE STRIKE
Reeeived Sunday 7. p.m. KINGSTON, April 13. Jamaica is virtually paralysed by an island-wide strike ealled by the British West Indies Trade Union, in an eft'ort to force the authorities to drop manslaughter charges against William Bustamante, Jamaica 's labour leader and virtual Prime Minister, and Frank Pixley, Minister of Soeial Services. Bustamante and Pixley faee trial en April 24 on charges developing from the fa-tal beating on February 16, of John Nicliolas, during a labour factlon flght.
