FINALLY TO-NIGHT In one of the most lavish settings given a motion picture in recent years, Warner'Bros. has gone allout in its production .of "The Desert Song," at the Civic Theatre finally to-night. The highly musical, highly entertaining film stars, Dennis Morgan and Irene Manning, with a suppbrting - cast of such f avourites as ' Bruce Cabot, Lynne Overman an.d Gene Lockhart. Film- • ed in gorgeous tecnicolour, the- picture has successfully recreated the wild beauty "and : indescribable loveliness of Northerh Afpica, which is supposed to be the setting of the story. "The Desert Song" has been modernised and brought up-to-date for the film production. -The in--: trigue of German aigents operating in North Africa, using the French as unwitting cats' paws, has been drawn on to give the story presentday significance.
