Duncan Lourie, owner of Alethea, stated at Wanganui 011 Saturday last that the mare would go to the stud next season, but he had not'vet made a delinite decision as to avhat stallioir slie would be mated with. He should not find any ditiiculty in securing a service for a mare of Alethea's class. After running fourth in the Awapuni Gold Cup, Alethea was b rough t up to Marton, where she is now quartered in K. R. Webster's establishment for the remainder of her racing career. Since being placed in C. J. Thompson 's Awapuni stable as a voungster she has taken part in 62 races, of which she has won 15, with £5365 in stakes to her credit.
