TWO-HOUR EARTHQUAKE
\ BIG DISTURBANCR RRCORDED . Received Friday, 10.5 a.m. * LONDON, April 11. v [ The West sejsmologist rpcorded a severe earthqnake at 2.1 p.m. G.M.T. on April 11, iasting abpiit two . hours and estimated tq bp 3660 miles distant. A jnpssage frpm Western Massachpsetts says that the Weston College seismograph recorded a very stpong earthijuake as severe as the disturbance which caused the recent tidal wave. Observatpry officials stated that tlie. earthquake was probabiy ofi' the tip of the Alentian Islands or Northern Chile! The shock was recorded at the Dominion O.bservatory at 2.10 p.m. yesterday and cqntinued for aboiit.two hours. The distance is estimated as 8700 miles in the same directioh as the previous one, but the indicatiqn^ were not so severe.
