METEOR PLANE'S VISIT

HOROWHENUA ITINERARY During next week-end the people of the Horowhenua district will have an opportunity of seeing the Gloster Meteor jet-propelled plane, the' fastest aircraft ever to make its appearance in New Zealand. If the planned itinerary is carried out, -the aircraft will arrive at Paraparaumu about 2 p.m. on Saturday and give an aerobatic display before landing at 2.10 p.m. and remaining on view until 3.30 p.m., when it will take off and give a further display before leaving for Ohakea. The programme on Sunday provides for the aircraft to arrive at Paraparaumu from Ohakea about 10.45 a.m., giving a short display at 2.30 p.m. and remaining on view until it leaves at 4 p.m. for Woodburne. On Saturday the Meteor will be over Levin at 1.48 jp.m. and Otaki at 1.54 p.m.
