WOMEN'S INSTITUTE MEETS
Eight -of the twelve members of the committee of the Shannon Women's Institute met last Thursday afternoon, the chief discussion being on the Anzac Day dinner. It was resolved that an invitation be sent to the Mayoi* and to the secretary of the Shannon R.S.A. extending a welcome to all returned personnel of the South African War and World Wars I and II to attend a dinner in the Druids' Hall after the Anzac Day service on April 25. In the matter of holding a birthdw.y party it was decided that this be held over for discussion at the general meeting. Mrs. E. G, Moss was elected a new member. Competitions for. May will be tlie best blo >m and three plain.scone^ The guest speaker at the April meeting will be Sgt.-Major Bool%- whose subjcct will be "The Work of a Mission Hospital in Egypt."
