Her mother and lather had lived apart for about [the past three years. Witness was jirienaly with Mr. and Mrs. Lowe, I and on one occasion went to Auck- [ land with them. Witness's relations with Felix Frank Whittaker, iof Manunui, prior to tnis were initimate between February, 1945, and j ueofcrnDer, H»45. When witness became friendly with accused she told nim sne nad had sexual intercourse witn Whittaker. She had nad sexual intercourse also with the accused Lowe between February, i(H6, and March 10, 1946. ' Accused was a boiler attendant at a ve.neer worx^s, and witness used to visit him at night, leaving through a bedroom window and returning about kt.3U in tne morning. Her father was not then aware of this.
