TWO JAPANESE HANGED
Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. SYDNEY, 'April 7. Two Japanese were hanged and three more sentenced to death at Rabaul during the weekend. The two who died were Captain Takuo Tg-kakuwa, wlyo was responsihle' for the deaths of 3000 Australian apd Indian prispners of wa? on the Sandakgn "death mareh'', anci Captain Susuma Hoshijima, co^imandant of a prison camp where 2390 prisoners died from malmitrition or torture. Hoshijima attempted to shout, "Ranzai to the Emperor!" as he mounted the scaft'old, and hd the ha^d qf g, proyost who silenced him. No sedatives were giyen to the condemned men,
