Jones) that approval cannot be giyen the request that the term of service of the members of the N.Z.E.F. hockey team be extended on their return home to enable a tour of the main centres to be made at the Army's expense. War Bride Comes Ashore Another instanee of a bride of an American serviceman leaving a ship shortly before its departure from Auckland occurred on Thursday morning, when a young Auckland woman decided not to sail in the Army transport David C. Shanks. Three brides have now left ships at Auckland, one from each of the last three America-bound vessels, the Lurline, Monterey and the transport.
