CHRISTCHURCH, April 2.' Mr. A. Holmes has been officially ■ notified that, because of the ban on the tmportation of horses .from America to New Zealand, Gold Bar would he unable to retitrn if he made the proposed • trip to Santa Anita. " It is rather disappointing, as all arrangements had been completedj ' sald Mr. Holmes tonight, "but I cabled the Santa Anita people today cancelling the trip. Gold Bar's racing 'career in New Zealand is not finished yet, and the way he is shaping he might win liis second New Zealand Cup this year. "
