ADVERTISING PLANE DROWNS ADDRESS
w Received Monday, 7.5 p.m. SYDNEY, March 31. While Cardinal Gilroy was addressing a crowd of 50,000 at Sydney cricket grornid he was interrupted hy a lowflying adVertising plane, in which an announcer broadcast through an amplitier the merits of a brand of jelly. Angry murmurs rose from the crowd as the plane burst into song, completely drowning the cardinal' s voice. The pilot said later that he was engaged to fly over an adjoining sports ground and broadcast to a crowd there.
