BRITISH FORCES IN GREECE
^ — HONDON, March 27. Asked in the Commons whether Britain intended to withdraw the troops from Greece immediateiy after the eieetions there, Mr. Bevin (the Foreign Secretary) said: "I am anxious to get the British troops out of Greece. The/ will he withdrawn as sqon as electian conditions allow, but there are certaiu conditions which. mr.st he fulfilled. The questioner, Mr. F. S. Cocks (Eabour) , said there was a f ealing that the troops naight again he invqlved in civii strife. Mr. Bevin replied: "I only hope that in the elections the people of Greece wil} uge the bailot, nqt tlie bullet."
