CREW BELIEVED TO HAVE STOLEN SHIP
Received Wednesday 8.30 p.m. SYDNEY, March 27. Reports are circulating in Sydney that, while the officers of the steamer Barunda were ashore at M'orotai last Thursday night, the Chinese crew kid-napped-and stole the ship; The vessei, which is a 900-ton steamer, previously owned by an Australian company, is now under Panamanian charter and is manned by a Chinese crew and six Australian and European officers.
