LEVIN BOYS' BAND
ACTIVITIES TO BE EXTENDED The Levin- Boys' Band, under Mr. ■A. H. Boyce, was formed about the niddle of last year and started off vith about twelve fifes. A successul parents' night was held towards he end of the year and activities .ince then have centred round ffiorts to raise money to purchase a ;et of drums, a sum of £79 7s 9d now • jeing in hand. It is intended to evenually form a irass or silver band and so build for he future bandsmen for the senior jand. To help in this, an invita:ion is being extended to the public of Levin to form a committee of really keen members to assist the work and so ensure that every boy gets an opportunity to learn music and so have an added interest in life. All boys up to 18 years of age are invited to attend and are urged to join up in this interesting and useful chobby. It is to be hoped that there will be a gooc'l attendance at the meet- i ing convened by Mr. H. A. Robert- ' . son, to be held in the Bandroom to- ! morrow at 7.30 p.m., to form thej band. i
