JEWELS WORTH £1900 ' STOLEN
Received Monday, 10.25 p.m. SYDNEY, March 25. While the inmates of a Vaficluse house were at a theatre, burglars broke in and stole £1000 v/orth of jewels. Aj jewel "ase was taken to tlie nearby : cemetery and broken open. At Cremorne thieves stole the key of j a safe from the pocket of a news-agentj while he slept, opened the safe andj made off with £100. The news-agentj awoke when he heard them trying toi break into a shop next.door. ;
