The announcement, which caused co> siaerab.e surprise, disclosed that the industries concerned included, firstiy, Germany 's largest ball-bearing plant, the Kugel-Fiscner worhs at Schweinfurt; secondly, the jewellery industry ,at Gablonz; thirdly, the glass polishing works at Haida, 35 miles west of Lfberec. Tne correspondent points out that the Western Aliies are entitled to 5J per cent. of the Kugel-Eischer plant, which is valued at £o25;J00. The other half has been allotted to Kussia and Poland. The Times' Berin correspondent says! that the United States Deputy Military Governor (General Clay) announced that the i'our Powers had reached an agreement on the future level of German industry.
