The Minister of the Interior officiallv announced that 100 persons had beai. arrested in Slovakia on charges o^ espionage, agitation against a Czecho slovak alliance with Russia and pre paration for an armed rising m Slovakia. Those alleged to be mainly resnousible were formei members and adherents of the pro-Nazi puppet.administration of Slovakia, some of whom are still in the country, while others are abroad — in Austria, Germany and Itaiy, particularly in Rorne. They were in contact with ' 'international reaction,1" including General Anders' army. Among those arrestea was Professor Polakovic, a Jesuit priest of Croat origon, who is alleged to be the' leader of the plotters.
