WOMAN CHAPLAIN
— — FIRST R.A.F. APPOINTMENT LONDON, March 20. The first woman chaplaln to the R.A.F. has been appointed. She is the Rev. Miss Elsie Chamberlain, a Congre gatxonalist, who will be commissioned as a squadron officer. Miss Chamberlain, who is 36, graduated Bachelor of Divadity, at Kiiig'E College, London, and later acted as an assistant minister at .Liverpool. She has taken a leading part in social activities connected with Christ Clmrch at Friern near London. Last November she pro tested from her pulplt about an an nouncement_tliat the Red Cross was ar rauging a- free supply of heeri to repatriated troops.
