R.A.F. MISSION
VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND Received "Wednesday, 8.20 p.m. EOImDUN, Xviarch 19. " ' The silVdr' ' 'Eaficifalst'eiV' hhihell' 1 Tndi?'1 one of the bombers which carried the R.A.P. oifensive into the heart of Hitier's Europe, is leaving on March 2c with a mission from the Empire Air Armaments School, Manby, on an ex tensive tour of Australia and New Zealand. The mission consists of a representative team of bombing and gunnery specialists drawn from the R.A.P. and Dominion Air Porces. It is hoped the visit will enable the mission to Qbtain first-hand informa tion on armament problems in Australia and New Zealand and to exchange views on air crew training. The two Lancastrian planes which recently established records for iiights to New Zealand are now operating with Transport Command, flyiug United States delegates to America. VM726 left Northolt last night m command of Squadron Leader J. Adams, of Christchurch, who was in j charge of its record-breaking flight. VM727 is leaving Northolt to-night.
