Screening finally to-night is Mary Lee, with John Archer and 'Mary Lord, in "Shantytown." THURSDAY & FRIDAY MATINEE THURSDAY, 2 P.M. The arrival of a new Laurel and Hardy picture is always a five-star event with millions of comedylovers the country over. And from advance reports on the latest of the screen's zaniest duo, "The Big Noise," which opens on Thursday at the Regenf Theatre, is reasoh enough for extra-special celebrating. Packed with fast-movmg action &nd full of the colour of the Texas cattle-mising country in post-Civil War days, "American Empire," a drama released through United Artists is the second attraction. Richard Dix, Leo Carrillo and Preston Foster do a grand job of carrying the main action. Also showing is chapter 9 of "Jungle Queen" serial.
