SCHOOL JUBILEE

KOPUTAROA CELEBRATIONS Arrangements are now well advanced for the golden jubilee celebrations of the Koputaroa School, which take place over the week-end of April 5-7. The programme in brief is as follows: — Friday, April 5: 1 p.m., welcome speeches; 1.30 p.m., children 's sports; 3 p.m., afternoon tea; 8 p.m., dance in Koputaroa Hall. Saturday, April 6: 1 p.m., reception speeches; 1.30 p.m., roll call; 2.30 p.m., group photographs; 3 p.m., afternoon tea; 6.30 p.m., reunion dinner. Sunday, April 7: 2 p.m., church service. At a recent meeting of the committee which has been set up to make all preparaticns, it was decided that badges and ribbons denoting the years of attendance at the school be presented to each old pupil present. It was resolved that admission to the domain be restricted to all ex-pupils, teachers and committee members, with their wives and husbands in each case, and parents of present pupils. To provide transport from Levin it was agreecl to arrange for free buses to run to Koputaroa each day and evening. The church service on the Sunday will be held at the school if the weather is fine and in the hall if it is wet.
