In a fight billed as for the heavyweight championship of Australia and New Zealand, Jack Johnson, I2.b|-, oeai Don Mullett, New Zealand, 13.11), on a technical knock-out in the fourth rouna. It was evident early that Mullett could not stop Johnson from scoring. The Australian 's right cross and left rip were placed with accuracy and power. In the second round Mullett shook Johnson with a short right, but Johnson covered up well and recovered although another right had hixn backing away before the bell. The third round saw Johnson land a heavy right on Mullett 's chin. Further rights drop ped Mullett in the fourth round and Johnson linished him off with lefts and rights.
