OTAKI LICENSNG BENCH

QUARTERLY MEETING The quarterly sitting of the Otaki Licensing Bench was held at the Levin Courthouse on Friday, Mr. A. M. Goulding, S.M., presiding. There were also present: Messrs. J. W. Rimmer, R. O. Hornblow, W. Moynihan, T. O'Rourke and H. Nicolson. Transfers were granted in respect of the following: — Club Hotel, Shannon;,, Q.^ Mprtipier to J, JL. Lincoln; Grand Hotel, Levin: F. Favelle to C. Larsen; Railway Hotel, Otaki: J. Ewart to J. C. Fitzgerald; Central Hotel, Otaki: E. Curtis to B. J. Kelleher. The police reports from all parts of the district were most favourable, which caused the chairman to remark that it was very gratifying to see such reports, and pleasing to know that all notels were being well conducted. He considered the reports the best received for some time. Mr. Atmore appeared on behalf of the interested parties in connection with the Railway Hotel, and Mr. Rhodes for those concerned in the Central Hotel.
