' WELLINGTON, March 14. Rain fell throughout the training operations at Trentham ' this morning, but the track was by no means soft, and only eutting out. Omit and Master Dash were first out and came home from the half-mile in 53sec. Al-Sirat ran the last half-mile of his work in 49 4-5sec., and did it well. Wide Range took 53see., and Blue Moon and Night Foe 52sec. for similar tasks. Palfrey was' well clear of Bitter Sweet after covering the last seven furlongs of a mile in 1.35 3-5, the iinal half-mile in 55 2-5sec. Hormuz was a shade clear of Tuis over six furlongs in 1.22, while Jonathan Jo came home from the half-mile in 52sec.
Royal Victor Pleases. Royal Victor always held a shglit advanLage over Alethea and Langue d'Or over a mile in 1.52, th«f iirst-named working really well. Triuute was under a hold in traversing half a mile in 52 3-5see., Poutatau and Flving Orders completing a similar task' in 52sec. Sea Fury had a slight advantage over Court Crier and Variant Night in 52 l-5sec. Thornbridge worlced freely to complete a mile in 1.49, the last half-mile taking 54sec. The Monarch was doing better than Matador and Magic Art after covering a mile in 1.48 4-0, the last half-mile in 55 l-5sec. The Menareh relished the easier going. Beneve and Merry Eobin were not after time in traversing seven furlongs in 1.41. Swingaiong Beats Foxhaven. Bonny Flight was running on solidlv at the end of five furlong's in 1.6 4-5, while Young Margaret registered 1.6, the last half-mile being completed in oOsec. She is very well. Karaclii had an advantage over Opulent in taking oUsec. over half a mile. Swingaiong pleased by iimsliing half a length in front. of Foxhaven. "itfter running the last six of seven furlongs in 1.19 2-5. Zealander and Eoval Baron were on ternis at the end of half a mile in 52 sec., Yalta and Perfect Peace taking 2-5sec. longer. Expanse galloped better than usual to liaie a couple of lengths' advantage over Big Top with Eoyal Lancer well back over a mile in 1.48, the last halfmile taking 55sec. Eoyal, Lancer is stated to be a bad track vvorker. Spiora liaiidled conditions well to eome home from the five furlongs post in 1.7, the last half-mile in 52sec. Grill and Patmos eovered a mile in 1.53 1-5, but were eased to take 57 l-5seo. over ihe half-mile. . , Lord Elgin had ihe measure of Master Baron in a pleasing elfort over half a mile iu oOsec.
