Adjuslments will be allowed in certain sections of the ser-ice, but it is reported that the Government and the Economie Stabilisation Commission, in view of the stabilisation system, do not favour a general increase. . The Wellington section of the Public | Service Association was told this week ! that the Minisler of Finance had given | an assurance that the Government 's J decision on the consultativc commit1 tee's report would be released before he left for overseas at tiie end of this nionth.
