BURGLARS GET £5000
^ Received Monday, 8.20 p.m. SVDNBY, March 11. The biggest haul in scme months was £5000 in notes removed from the Eandwick residence of Dr. G. Tahmindjis oy_^\ fchieves who broke into the house while~l * members of the family were attending a Wed'ding. The money, which was concealed in an X-ray plate box, hidden in ;he ceiling, was a "punting bank" belonging to the doctor and his sori, both of whom are well known in racing Circies. After failihg to make an entry through the froiit door, the thieves forced a verandah door and apparently went straight to the hiding place.
