INTER-CLUB BOWLING

— R.S.A. TOURNAMENT FINAL The final of the R.S.A. tournament, as the result of matches played at Otaki, took place on the Newtown green at the webk-end. The game was between Newtown (skipped by O'Cohnor) and Hutt (skipped by Jeiferson) . Newtown won by 21 to 17. The green was not in the best condition, 110 attention having been given to it since the previous Thursday, and as it was under water on Saturday conditions were adverse to good play. Hutt were down 17 — 5 on the 12th end, but with the score at 19 — 16 in favour of Hutt, who were holding two shots, O'Connor (20th head) took the kitty back to lay two. Hutt wanted five to get and lay the shot, with third, fourth and flfth shots. Jeiferson played almost a --pepfeet bowl to push Newtown's second shot out, and although a difficult task, he just missed. Mr. Jack Young, representing General R. Young, president of the Otaki Club, presented the trophy and medals to the winners, congratulating them on their win. On account of unfavourable weather on Wednesday morning, the bowling tournament to have been held at Wellington was postponed for a week. This was unfortunate for Visiting bowlers who had made the trip.
