FLOOD DANGER PASSES
! BRISBANE, March 5. Latest aircraft reconnaissance reveals that thc worst of the ftood dangcr has passed. Air observers this morning saw manv people on the rooftops in thrj Home T-iii] shopping area. There were j about 25 feet of water over Burderio Bridge. and the main street seemed to be submerged to depths of up to I'> feet. Though traffic moved in the main street of Ayr, many houses were com pletely submerged. -At Mackay, 86 people were rescued by boat.
