NEW AIRCRAFT TESTED

Received Tuesday; 10.10 p.m. MELBOURNE, March 5. Austraiia's new fighter aircraft, the CA15, has made its first test llight from the ■ Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation's runway. The trial v/as kept secret. After the fiight, the test pilot, who has flown Hurricanes, Spitfires, Typhoons, Mustangs, Kittyhawks and Boomerangs, said he thought the fighter would show hettet performance than any other single-engined plane he had flown. The plane was entirely designed and huilt in Australia, hut is powered with a Rolls-Royce Griffon engine.
