HOROWHENUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD Electricity Shortage THE HOROWHENUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD, in common with all other Supply ; Authorities in the North Island, has been called on to make a reduction in load in accordance with a prearranged schedule calling for reductions of 5 per cent., 10 per cent. and' 15 per cent. The first reduction can be obtained without greatiy inconveniencing consumers. In order to obtain the second and third stage of reduction, the Board tvill have no option but to cut out feeders for periods up to half an hour, and CONSUMERS ARE HEREBY WARNED THAT SUPPLY IS LIABLE TO BE INTERRUPTED FOR THIS PURPOSE WITHOUT WARNING. The Board give an assurance that so far as it is possible;. • to do so, disconnections will take place in rotation, so that th^y.' inconvehience is spread evenly. _ ' An appeal is made to all. consumers to curtail the use of electricity and so avoid the need for compulsory disconnectlmS' E.
