PAST PRESIDENT HONOURED
The Manawatu Bowling Centre was constituted in 1913 and for thirty of the thirty-two years which have since followed, Mr. J. A. Na,sh, of Palmerston North,, was
! president. It was this outstanding i period of service, aod a desire tc ilionour it, which orought bowlers : cogetner on the Manawatu Club's ;^ieen on Saturday. Tributes were voiced by the pres- : ent president (Mr. J. K. Paton), Messrs J. Hodgens, M.P., John Bartholomew (Feilding), A. K. Dfew (Bulls), W. Clayton (Shannon), W. Dobson (Dannevirke) and | Rev. J. H. Datson (Foxton) . Mr. H. |P. Horne (Woodville) was entrusted I with the honour of presenting Mr. iNash with a double inkstand made j out of a totara knot and a cheque. I Mr. Nash suitably responded.
