Personal Mr. and Mrs. Penney, who have been on holiday in the South Island, have returned to Otaki. Mr. and Mrs. N. N. Barron, who have been 011 holiday in Havelock North, have returned to their home at Otaki. • Mr. McSweeny, who recently returned from overseas, is at present teaching at the Shannon State School. Selected For Reps. The well-known Otaki ericketer, "Herb" Rice, has been selected to play in the Wellington representative team against Australia on March 22, 23, 25 and 26. R. T. Barber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Weston Barber, of Te Horo, is also among the selected ones. Both have been playing good ericket this season. Surglary Attempted An attempt was made to burglariously enter the beauty salon in Main Street some time during the week-end. The attempt. was a teeble one and very little damage was done to the door which did not yield to pressure. A similar attempt was made at Mr. Payne's drapery shop.
