Haslam were Christchurch visitors to Levin ovei the week-end, being the guests of Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Thomson, Weraroa Road. Mrs. John MacDonald, Weraroa Road, Levin, and Mrs. H. J. j McLeavey, Muhunoa East, Ohau,! vere visitors to Wellington for tnej Lumber — O Brien wedcling whicn , cook piace yesterday mornmg. The death occurred at Patea Hospital recently of Mr. Edward Holtham* Higgs, after a long illness. Deceased was a resident nf Levin f oi yz years,-. and was well known throughout the Manawatu. He leaves a wife and family of five ^ons and four daughters.
