AUCKLAND, March. 3. Making a spccial flight to New Zealand from Australia. Australian National Airways Skymaster Amana arrived at Whenuapai shortly before 6 o'clock tonight and established a new commercial aircraft record for the Tasman crossing by carrying 41 passengers and an augmented crew of 10 from Melbourne to Auckland in 9 hours 10 minutes. The Amana took off from Melbourne at 6 a.m. and flew via Sydney. The time for the Tasman flight was 6 hours 40 minutes against a strong head wind
