Swimming records fall at Girls’ High
Five new records were set at the Christchurch Girls’
High School swimming sports this week. Two of the records were set by Tania Rahurahu with times of 42.25 s in the senior 66%m freestyle and Imln 5.4 s in the open 100 m freestyle. In the under-14 section, Kate Stokes swum record times with 23.53 s in the 33 breaststroke and 24.01 s in the 33 backstroke. Another record was set by Jane Collins, who had a time of 24.78 s for the 33j£m junior butterfly. The school champions were:— Senior Tania Rahurahu. Intermediate: Juliet Stokes. Junior Jane Collins. Under--14: Kate Stokes and Julianne Dalton. D’
