A.I.D.S. test centres for Malaysia

NZPA-AFP Kuala Lumpur Malaysia plans to set up 16 centres to screen contributed blood for signs of A.I.D.S. Only one A.I.D.S. carrier was detected from more than 6000 blood samples taken in Malaysia last year. However, the Health Ministry’s A.I.D.S. management and prevention committee says hospitals are legally and morally bound to administer untainted blood. It urges the Government to consider requiring visitors to the country to carry an A.1.D.5.-free certificate as it says is required by Saudi Arabia.
